Former UCLA baseball player Sean Bouchard is now a member of the Colorado Rockies. Bouchard wears jersey number 12 for the team and is an infielder and first baseman. He was born on May 16, 1996, and comes from San Diego, California.

Bouchard becomes the 87th UCLA baseball player overall to reach the Major Leagues and the 24th player trained by current UCLA head coach John Savage.

As the second UCLA alum to receive his first-ever MLB call-up from the Rockies this week, he joins right-handed pitcher Jake Bird, who coincidentally made his Big League debut on Wednesday afternoon.

In his five professional seasons with the Rockies, Bouchard has posted a.279/.352/.490 slash line. He was selected by Colorado in the ninth round of the 2017 MLB Draft.

In just 37 games, he had increased his output in Triple-A, posting career-highs in each of his slash categories (.338/.430/.683), along with 11 home runs and 34 RBIs.

Bouchard played a total of 25 games in a row where he reached base safely when he was promoted. With 10 home runs, 26 RBIs, and seven stolen bases during that stretch, which began on April 24, Bouchard slashed.398/.496/.828.

During his 137-game UCLA career, Bouchard batted.289 with 13 home runs and 88 RBIs. In 2016 and 2017, Bouchard served as the primary first baseman for the Bruins and was named to the All-Pac-12 team.
