In the 26th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft, the Cleveland Indians selected Tully. With the Low-A Mahoning Valley Scrappers, where he made his professional debut, he posted a 1.17 ERA in 13 appearances.

Tully was added to the 40-man roster on April 20, 2022, and he received his first promotion to the major leagues as a COVID-19 replacement player.
On April 22, Tully made his major league debut for the Cleveland Guardians, who were given a new name. He pitched 2.0 innings of relief against the New York Yankees, giving up one run on an Aaron Judge home run.
The next day, he was reinstated in Triple-A after being taken off the 40-man roster. On June 25, 2022, the Guardians chose Tully’s contract a second time. The assignment of Tully was finalized on June 27, 2022. On June 29, 2022, he was outrighted to the minor leagues after clearing waivers.
