Tyler Alexander who was born on July 14, 1994, is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Detroit Tigers who hails from Chicago Illinois. He is an American baseball pitcher who was born and raised in Chicago Illinois. He is known to have made his Major league debut in the year 2019.



When he was in Caroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas, he began his amateur career. He had a 0.66 earned run average as a senior in high school, with 177 batters struck out and 94.2 innings pitched. The Detroit Tigers offered Alex a draft pick before his first major league hit and debut, but he declined and went to Texas Christian University instead.

He played baseball for Texas University and was a starter. He could be re-selected by the Tigers after posting a certain number of ERA and innings.



Alexander earned his major league win in the year 2019 when he went against the Baltimore Orioles pitching 6 innings. Then against the Cincinnati Reds, he established another record as a reliever when he recorded nine batters consecutively. In the year 2021, he has his big major opening as he started as a long reliever as well as being an occasional opener.
