Connor Kok-Wy Joe, a Chinese-American first baseman and outfielder for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball, was born on August 16, 1992. He formerly represented the San Francisco Giants in MLB.

Peter and Mee-Sun Joe are Joe’s parents. He has Chinese ancestry. Both his mother’s family and his father’s family moved to New York after their grandparents left China.

His parents settled in Poway, California, a borough of San Diego, after getting married. Two restaurants were run by his family in San Diego.

Joe reported on March 18, 2020, that he had undergone surgery for testicular cancer and was now recovering. On July 20, 2020, cancer was determined to be absent.
