Deatrich Jr. has a BS in Kinesiology and is currently studying for his MS in the field. He continued the family’s Greek tradition by joining Kappa Alpha Psi Inc. as a brother, and he also followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a professional football player.

After graduating from college, he was honored by numerous publications within the Southern Eastern Conference, including Athlon, Lindy’s, and Phil Steele, all of which named him to their respective All-SEC teams.

Deatrich Jr., the 23rd defensive lineman picked by the New England Patriots in the 2017 NFL Draft, was a standout at both the Shrine Game and the NFL Combine.

The Patriots’ fourth-year defensive end, Deatrich Jr., has made 81 combined tackles, 51 career tackles, and 11.5 sacks in his four seasons with the team.

His Patriots colleagues regularly comment on his pleasant attitude, hard work ethic, and infectious smile. He is a devout Christian who attributes his accomplishments solely to God.
