Elijah Riley is a strong safety who plays American football and is currently a free agent. After spending his time playing collegiate football for the Army Black Knights, the Philadelphia Eagles took a chance on him and signed him as an undrafted free agent in the year 2020.



On April 26, 2020, following the conclusion of the NFL Draft, Riley signed a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted player.

On September 3, 2020, he was let go at the final roster cuts, then on September 6, 2020, he was re-signed to the practice squad of the team.



He was moved up to the active roster on October 10 and October 17 for the team’s weeks 5 and 6 games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens, and then he was moved back down to the practice squad after each of those games. Riley was moved from the reserve roster to the active squad on December 16, 2020.

Riley was released by the Eagles on the 31st of August, 2021, and immediately re-signed to the practice squad the following day.

Riley was released from the Eagles practice squad on November 9, 2021, and immediately signed by the New York Jets. On August 23, 2022, he was allowed to go free.

On August 24, 2022, the Pittsburgh Steelers picked up Riley off of waivers and added him to their roster. On the 30th of August, he was released.
