Wilson finished his five seasons in the league with a total of 61 tackles, two interceptions, eight pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. He also had eight pass breakups.

On Jan. 20, the Dolphins agreed to sign Wilson to a reserves/future deal for the veteran’s minimum salary of just over $1 million.

Wilson is motivated to put his difficulties in the past and shows defensive coordinator Josh Boyer and new head coach Mike McDaniel that he can contribute to their culture and create a successful squad.

He understands how important it would be to contribute to creating something great in Miami if given the opportunity to do so because he is a local.
