Outside linebacker Tyus Bowser competes in professional football for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. He is 1.91 m tall and 110 kg in weight. He played football for the Lions team as a student at John Tyler High School. As a senior, he had 59 tackles and 24 sacks.

He eventually enrolled at the University of Houston, where he played NCAA football for the Houston Cougars from 2013 to 2016. As a rookie in 2013, he recorded 26 total stops, 5.0 sacks, one interception, two passes defended, and one forced fumble.

The Baltimore Ravens selected Bowser with the 47th overall choice in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was selected for the team as the third outside linebacker from his school. Bowser and the Ravens came to an agreement on a four-year, $5.57 million contract on May 5, 2017, which included a $2.19 million signing bonus and a $3.37 million guarantee.

In March 2021, he committed to a four-year, $22 million deal with the Ravens, with an additional $27 million option. To start the season, Bowser was placed on the reserve/PUP list on August 26, 2022.
