The Washington Commanders of the National Football League are home to offensive tackle Alex Akingbulu, a professional football player. At 1.96 m tall and 136 kg, he is quite tall. Being regarded as the No. 59 recruit in the state of California and a three-star prospect by ESPN, he attended and played high school football at Narbonne High School.



After high school, he enrolled in the University of California, Los Angeles, where he played for the first and second years. In his first season, 2016, he did not take part in any games, and his injury forced him to miss the whole 2017 season. His inclusion on the Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2016 and Winter 2017 semesters was acknowledged.

He played in seven games as a junior in 2019, his first year as a Bulldog, and started on the offensive line against Hawai’i, Utah State, and San Diego State. He was a key player in field goal coverage and was chosen for the 2019 Fall Academic All-MW team. He played in two games as a senior in 2020, including one versus Nevada, where he started at left tackle.
