Lee’s life started in Westminster, where he was raised by his parents. He received his diploma from West-Oak High School, which is located in Westminster.

Lee was a standout athlete at West-Oak High School, where he earned a letter in three different sports: football, baseball, and basketball. As a senior in high school, he played punter, tight end, and wide receiver for the football team

As a senior, his career punting average was 42.8 yards, which earned him a ranking of 33rd in the state of South Carolina by SuperPrep.

In basketball, he was named to the All-Conference team twice, and in baseball, he was an integral part of the team that won the district championship and advanced to the state playoffs.
