Anthony Firkser

The scouting reports that were done on Firkser prior to the 2017 NFL Draft suggested that he would be most useful to an NFL team as a hybrid player who plays fullback and tight end positions.

The scouts had the impression that Firkser was a tough, clever, and athletic individual. His ability to swiftly get into pass routes and adapt to off-target throws was another strength that drew acclaim from scouts.

Despite this, scouts had an unfavorable opinion of him due to his average size and questioned his ability to block effectively because of this.

Firkser participated in the Harvard Pro Day on March 19, 2017, which is an event in which football players from Harvard University demonstrate their skills in front of an audience consisting of NFL scouts and coaches. This event was attended by almost exactly half of the NFL teams.

On May 5, 2017, Firkser became a member of the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent after signing with the team. On September 2, 2017, the Jets released him from his contract.

Firkser was given a spot on the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad on November 29, 2017, after being signed by the team. On January 8, 2018, he joined the Chiefs on a reserve/future basis after signing a deal with the team. On April 30, 2018, his eligibility was terminated.

The Tennessee Titans officially announced the signing of Firkser on May 14, 2018.
