He began his undergraduate studies at East Mississippi Community College, where he was named an NJCAA All-American as a sophomore and assisted East Mississippi in winning the 2017 and 2018 junior college national championships.

He had 95 receptions, 1466 receiving yards, and 21 touchdowns in two seasons at East Mississippi. He transferred to Ole Miss and resumed playing football with the Ole Miss Rebels after spending two years at East Mississippi. He placed third on the team in his debut year at Ole Miss with 13 receptions for 188 yards. He caught 25 passes for 417 yards and seven touchdowns during his junior season, helping Ole Miss win the 2021 Outback Bowl.
