Greg Ward, an American wide receiver, competes for the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles. He played football while attending John Tyler High School, where he graduated in 2013. As a senior, he rushed for 861 yards and 13 scores in addition to passing for 4,202 yards and 39 scores. Additionally, he received the Texas High School Football Player of the Year award.
As a junior, he ran for 1,212 yards and 18 additional touchdowns in addition to throwing for 3,596 yards and 32. He has 53 receptions for 667 yards and eight touchdowns in his second season at wide receiver. While a student at the University of Houston, he participated in NCAA football with the Houston Cougars.
In his 10 games as a true freshman in 2013, he completed passes for 310 yards and one touchdown. As the starting wide receiver for his second season, he has 15 grabs for 139 yards and a score. He was named the MVP of the 2015 American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game after rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns.
Ward and the Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a non-drafted free agent contract on May 11, 2017. In January 2019, he agreed to an agreement with the San Antonio Commanders of the AAF. Ward re-signed with the Eagles in April 2019 for a single season. He extended his agreement with the group for another year on March 15, 2022.
