Jason Raynard Peters, a tackle with the Cowboys, is the team’s undisputed leader up front. After entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent for the Buffalo Bills in 2004,
he was able to fulfil his dream of playing tight end for the team. After that, he spent the next 12 years with the Philadelphia Eagles before being traded to the Chicago Bears in 2021.
The Eagles traded for him in 2009 and immediately made him a starter. Peters spent his college years as a member of the Arkansas Razorbacks football team.
He had originally been sought out as a defensive tackle but spent his first year with the squad in a reserve role.
After his junior year, Peters was nominated for All-SEC second-team recognition due to his 21 receptions for 218 yards and four touchdowns.
Peters had 61 knockdown blocks in his final season at Virginia Tech, which was more than twice as many as catches (21).
People often draw comparisons between him and Denver Broncos big man Orson Mobley. A fourth-round pick was expected of him for the 2004 NFL Draft, but he went undrafted.
It was on April 17th, 2009, when the Philadelphia Eagles acquired Jason Peters from the Buffalo Bills. Outside of the regular season in May of 2012, he experienced a second rupture of his Achilles tendon during training.
