Tight end John Bates resides with the National Football League’s Washington Commanders. He is 1.98 m tall and weighs 117 kg. He initially attended Nyssa High School but then transferred to Lebanon High School, where he participated in football. As a senior, he was twice selected to the team and earned All-MWVC honors as a wide receiver, defensive back, and punter.
