Joshua Terrell Thomas is a safety for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League and is currently in his third season.
After completing his college football career at Appalachian State, the Buffalo Bills decided to take a chance on him and sign him as an undrafted free agent in the year 2020.
Thomas, who was born in Montgomery, Alabama, went to school at The Montgomery Academy, where he was named to the All-State team in football twice and four times and became the city’s all-time best boys basketball scorer.
Thomas recorded a career-high 72 tackles as a senior, along with two tackles for loss, one fumble return for 37 yards, and one interception return for 16 yards and a touchdown.
In addition, Thomas scored a touchdown on one of his interception returns for 16 yards. He served as team captain not once but twice and started 30 of the squad’s 56 games.
After the NFL Draft in 2020, which took place on May 8th, Thomas signed a free-agent contract with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted player.
On September 5, 2020, he was waived during final roster cuts and signed to the team’s practice squad the following day.
