Maxx Williams is a tight end with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He stands 1.93 m tall and weighs 114 kg. He attended Waconia High School, where he participated in high school football. He attended the University of Minnesota after high school and participated in NCAA football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers team.



Prior to starting seven of the 13 games as a redshirt freshman and hauling in 25 passes for 417 yards and five touchdowns, he redshirted his first year at the university. He caught 36 passes for 569 yards and 8 touchdowns as a sophomore.

Williams did not participate in his junior or senior years and instead entered the 2015 NFL Draft after his redshirt sophomore season. In the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens made him their selection. He signed a $4.05 million, four-year deal with the Ravens in May 2015. He signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals in May 2019.

He was the Cardinals’ starting tight end going into the 2021 campaign. He went on season-ending injured reserve after tearing his ACL in Week 5. He had 16 receptions for 193 yards and one receiving touchdown by season’s end. Williams re-signed with the Cardinals in March 2022, this time for a single season. On October 7, 2022, he was freed. Three days later, he was added to the practice squad once more.
