The third-round pick, Osa Odighizuwa, is in his second season with the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. Odighizuwa, who is a native of Dayton, Ohio, and of Nigerian descent, had a successful college career at UCLA.

In his senior year, he was made a starting defensive tackle where he recorded 30 tackles (sixth on the team), 4 sacks (second on the team), and 6 tackles for loss (third on the team). In the games against the University of Colorado and Arizona State University, he recorded six tackles.

During the game against the University of California, he had two and a half tackles. He was honored with a spot on the first team All-Pac-12. Odighizuwa made the announcement on December 22, 2020, that he would be entering the NFL Draft in 2021.

When Was Osa Odighizuwa Drafted?

Osa Odighizuwa was drafted in 2021. The Cowboys selected him in the third round (75th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.

On June 10, 2021, he became a member of Dallas after penning a rookie deal for four years with the team.

Odighizuwa ended his first season by playing in 16 games (12 starts) and recording 21 solo tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hits, and two sacks overall.  During the course of the season, he participated in 57% of the Cowboys’ defensive snaps.
