NFL cornerback Zechariah “Zech” McPhearson plays for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He is 1.7 meters tall and 87 kilograms in weight. He played football at Riverdale Baptist High School where he attended. Following high school, he first attended Pennsylvania State University, where he participated in collegiate football for the Penn State Nittany Lions squad.

He played football at Penn State for two seasons before transferring to Texas Tech, where he played for the Red Raiders football team. In his junior season, he participated in and started all 12 games for the “Red Raiders”. In that year, he made 51 tackles for them.

He participated in every one of the 10 games his senior year, starting nine of them, totaling 53 tackles (at least two per game) and four interceptions. The Big 12 coaches, Associated Press, and Phil Steele Magazine all selected him to their First-Team All-Big 12 teams. In the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected McPhearson with the 123rd overall pick.

He and the Eagles came to an agreement on a four-year rookie contract in June of that year. When he made two special teams tackles and recovered an errant onside kick attempt during a 38-35 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 1 of the 2022 season, he was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
