At this time, Adam Shaheen is playing the position of tight end for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League.

After graduating from Ashland University with a degree in football, he was selected by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He is the only player from Ashland to ever be selected in the first round of an NFL draft, and this accomplishment occurred in the modern era. Big Walnut High School, which is located in Sunbury, Ohio, was Shaheen’s high school of choice.

Both the football and basketball teams at his high school included him as a player. Shaheen spent one year attending the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown, where he participated in the collegiate basketball program and was a student there.

In 2014, he uprooted his life to attend Ashland University, where he was immediately recruited as a walk-on for the football team.

He finished his career with 129 catches, 1,755 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns on 26 different grabs, which brought his total receptions and scores to a total of 26.

Shaheen made the decision to skip his senior year of college and instead join the 2017 NFL Draft after the conclusion of the 2016 college football season.

On July 26, 2020, the Shaheen trade was place, and the Miami Dolphins received him in exchange for a conditional seventh-round selection.

In Week 5 of the season, the Dolphins defeated the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 43–17, and he scored his first touchdown with the team.

On October 28, 2020, Shaheen became a Dolphin after signing a contract that was worth $7.65 million over the course of two years.
