Anthony Brown’s full name is Anthony Almein Brown Jr. He plays quarterback for the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens football team, which he does so professionally. At St. John Vianney High School, where he attended classes, he participated in football. He was chosen to serve as the team’s starting quarterback going into his junior season.
He threw for 2,198 yards and 25 touchdowns that season, and he also ran for 839 yards and eight more. As a senior, he passed for 2,298 yards and ran for 604 yards and nine touchdowns. He was named to the first team All-State football team and won the Shore Conference football player of the year award. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Boston College, where from 2016 to 2019 he played college football for the Boston College.
While actually a freshman at Boston College, Brown redshirted. As the second freshman in school history to start a game, he completed 134 of 258 passes for 1,367 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. He transferred schools in 2020 and began playing football for the University of Oregon’s Oregon Ducks.
He made his Ducks debut in the 2020 Pac-12 Football Championship Game, mostly playing in goal-line situations and completing three of four passes for 17 yards and two touchdowns. He was selected to start at quarterback for the Ducks in 2021. He signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens on May 6, 2022, as an undrafted free agent.
