Antonio Senzatela is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2017.
Senzatela was signed by the Colorado Rockies as an amateur free agent in 2012, and that same year, he started playing for the Dominican Summer League Rockies.
After posting a 15–2 win-loss record with a 3.11 earned run average (ERA) for the Asheville Tourists of the Class A South Atlantic League in 2014, Senzatela was recognized as one of the Rockies Organization All-Stars by MiLB.com. His performance helped the team win the league championship, which led to the Rockies being awarded the organization’s top honor.
Before the start of the 2015 season, he had been ranked as the 11th best prospect the Rockies had by MLB.com.
After the conclusion of the 2015 campaign, the Rockies included Senzatela on their 40-man roster. In 2016, Senzatela was a member of the Class AA Eastern League team the Hartford Yard Goats, and pitched for them.
In 2017, Senzatela was included on the roster of the Rockies for Opening Day, and he made his debut in the main leagues on April 6.
Senzatela was honored as the Rookie of the Month for the National League after posting a win-loss record of 3–1 and an earned run average of 2.81 across five starts during the month of April.
