Caleb Thielbar, whose real name is Caleb John Thielbar, is an American professional baseball player. He participates in baseball as a pitcher for the Minnesota Twins. In Northfield, Minnesota in the United States, he was born on January 31, 1987.
At the Randolph High School in Randolph, Minnesota, where he attended high school, he played baseball. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at South Dakota State University and played baseball for the Jack Rabbits there. In the 18th round of the 2009 MLB Draft, he was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers.
He signed with them and started playing baseball professionally. He was released by the Brewers in 2011, and for the balance of the season he signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins. After the 2012 campaign, the Twins chose his contract and added him to their 40-man roster. In May 2013, he was promoted to the main leagues.
Caleb made his MLB debut for the Twins on May 20, 2013. The San Diego Padres took him off waivers in 2015. He participated in that season’s Triple A affiliate games for the El Paso Chihuahuas. He agreed to a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins in November 2016. He was released by the Marlins in March 2017.
Caleb was acquired by the Detroit Tigers on a minor league deal in January 2018. He was given the opportunity to play for both the AAA Toledo Mud Hens and the AA Erie SeaWolves that season. In August 2019, the Atlanta Braves acquired his contract from the Tigers. In December 2019, he agreed to a minor league deal with the Minnesota Twins.
