Chad Smith is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022.
Smith received his diploma from McAdory High School in McCalla, which is located in Alabama. After graduating from high school, he attended Wallace State Community College, where he participated in college baseball for a total of two years.
He was chosen by the Cleveland Indians in the 23rd round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2015.
He did not sign with Cleveland and instead went on to play collegiate baseball for the Ole Miss Rebels after transferring to the University of Mississippi. He did not sign with Cleveland.
Smith was taken by the Miami Marlins in the 11th round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2016, and he subsequently signed with the Marlins.
