The Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League’s Dakoda Shepley is a Canadian offensive tackle. His primary sport at Holy Names High School was ice hockey, and he didn’t begin playing football until his senior year after breaking his hand. He enrolled at the University of British Columbia, where in 2013 he was given a redshirt.
He started four seasons at right tackle and right guard. He helped the group capture the Vanier Cup championship as a sophomore. He earned a right tackle spot on the Canada West All-star team as a senior. Following the 2018 NFL Draft on May 4, he was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent.
The Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders chose him with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 CFL Draft, despite the fact that he had been signed by the New York Jets a week earlier. On March 19, 2019, he agreed to a two-year contract with the Roughriders, and on June 13, 2019, he made his CFL debut.
