After the 2022 NFL Draft, Fields signed a contract with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent.
He was released on August 30 but later re-signed to the practice squad. Fields was promoted to the active roster for the Saints’ week three game against the Carolina Panthers, where he made his NFL debut, before being returned to the practice squad.
