Dane Tyrez Jackson is a cornerback with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. He was born on November 29, 1996 in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Jackson went to Cornell High School, but since there wasn’t a football team there, he transferred to Quaker Valley High School to play. He committed to enrolling at the University of Pittsburgh in June 2014.
While playing college football there, he was a member of the Pittsburgh Panthers, the university’s intercollegiate football team. He was named to the second team for the Atlantic Coast Conference during his senior year and played in the 2020 Senior Bowl.
The Buffalo Bills selected Jackson in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He and the Bills reached a four-year, $3.376 million contract in May 2020. He was released in September 2020 and later included on the practice squad. He was added to the active roster in October 2020; however, following the game, he was demoted back to the practice squad.
He joined the practice squad after each game. He was raised once more in January 2021 for the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs and the divisional playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens. In January 2021, he signed a reserves/futures deal with the Bills.
