Darrius Allen Shepherd, born on November 1, 1995, plays wide receiver for the St. Louis BattleHawks in American football.
In 2020, he received a degree in football from North Dakota State University, and the Green Bay Packers took a chance on him by signing him as an undrafted free agent.
Shepherd was the middle child of Amy Shepherd’s three kids. Shepherd attended high school at Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Missouri.
After Shepherd graduated from college, he played for Bison, where he amassed 188 receptions, 2,841 receiving yards, and 20 touchdowns in his career.
Shepherd graduated with high honours from North Dakota State University in May of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in university studies and a minor in psychology.
After being invited to Green Bay Packers rookie training camp, the team gave Shepherd a contract on May 6, 2019. First catch in the NFL was a 1-yarder from Aaron Rodgers in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions.
Shepherd was waived from the team’s active roster and then re-signed to play on the reserve unit on October 29. To play for the Chiefs, Shepherd signed a deal on June 17, 2021.
The New Jersey Generals selected Shepherd at number 23 in the first round on February 23, 2022. On August 4, 2022, Shepherd inked a contract to join the Denver Broncos.
He was deactivated from active duty on August 30, 2022, and signed to the practice squad the next day. He was released on October 11th.
