Deivi Anderson García was born on May,19,1999. He is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of the Major League Baseball(MLB).
García was born and raised in Bonao, Dominican Republic. He is the youngest of three brothers. His father is a youth baseball coach and was García’s coach when he was a teenager. His mother who was initially a doctor, left her job to become a housewife to raise her children and take care of her family.
García got a $200,000 signing bonus for signing with the New York Yankees in July 2015. Despite his past baseball experience as an infielder and outfielder, the Yankees decided to make him a pitcher due to his throwing arm strength.
García pitched for the Class A South Atlantic League’s Charleston RiverDogs and the Class A-Advanced Florida State League’s Tampa Tarpons in 2018. He made his final start of the 2018 season with the Trenton Thunder of the Class AA Eastern League
To begin the 2020 season, the Yankees assigned Garcia to their alternate training facility. On August 30, he made his major league debut for the Yankees. In a no-decision, he pitched six innings on 75 pitches, allowing four singles, one unearned run, no walks, and six strikeouts.
Deivi Garcia is currently dating his girlfriend Maria Camilla. There is not much information about Camilla as the baseball pitcher has not revealed much about their relationship.
