Derrick Nnadi plays defensive tackle for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs in American football (NFL). He attended the New York Jets’ private workout.
When the pre-draft process was over, pundits and scouts for the NFL believed that Nnadi would be taken in the third or fourth round.
He was rated the seventh-best defensive tackle prospect by Scouts Inc. and the eleventh-best defensive tackle prospect by DraftScout.com. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Nnadi with the 75th overall selection in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
In order to choose Nnadi, the Chiefs dealt their third-round selection (86th overall) and fourth-round pick (122nd overall) to the Baltimore Ravens for the Ravens’ third-round pick (75th overall).
In honour of each Chiefs’ victory this season, Nnadi has donated the adoption fee for a dog at a nearby Kansas City animal shelter. He paid the adoption fees for each dog available for adoption at the shelter in honour of winning Super Bowl LIV.
On March 20, 2022, Nnadi re-signed with the Chiefs.
