Evan Neal plays offensive lineman for the National Football League’s New York Giants. He stands 2.01 m tall and weighs 159 kg. He previously attended Okeechobee High School before transferring to IMG Academy. He was regarded as one of the best players in the nation at any position and a top offensive line prospect.
He was listed as a five-star offensive tackle by all of the major recruiting agencies and was one of the top players in the state of Florida. He took part in the 2019 Under Armour All-America Game. He turned down scholarship offers from other universities to play college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide at the University of Alabama after completing his high school career.
Prior to switching to right tackle in 2020, he started each of his freshman season’s 13 games at left guard. He started 40 games at three offensive line positions for Alabama throughout his college career, including 13 games at left guard in 2019, 12 games at right tackle in 2020, and 15 games at left tackle in 2021. He was chosen to serve as one of Alabama’s permanent team captains in 2021. After the 2021 campaign, he declared that he will forgo his senior year and declare for the 2022 NFL Draft instead. In the 2022 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected Neal with the seventh overall pick.
