Germain Ifedi is an American football offensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Before being signed by Atlanta, Ifedi played in Seattle and Chicago for six NFL seasons combined, starting 83 of 85 games during that time.
He has started all six postseason games, with four of them coming at right tackle and the other two coming at right guard.
During the 2021 season, Ifedi played in nine games for Chicago and started seven of those games at tackle.
Germain Ifedi started all 16 games he played for Chicago in 2020, moving between the guard and tackle positions. Prior to that, he started all 60 games he played for Seattle from 2016-19.
After serving as a redshirt freshman in 2012, he participated in all three seasons of play during his junior year at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, in 2013.
Ifedi started all 37 games he played for the Aggies in 2013 and was nominated to the second team of All-SEC after starting 13 games at right tackle. He was also voted team captain during his junior year and started all 37 games he played for the Aggies.
In 2013, Sporting News honored him by naming him to their Freshman All-America team.
