Germán Andres Márquez is a Venezuelan baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball. In 2018, he received the Silver Slugger Award.

In July 2011, Márquez signed as an international free agent with the Tampa Bay Rays. After the 2015 season, the Rays added him to their 40-man roster.

Márquez and Jake McGee were traded to the Colorado Rockies on January 28, 2016, in exchange for Corey Dickerson and Kevin Padlo. On September 6, 2016, Marquez was promoted to the Major Leagues.

Márquez finished 11-7 with a 4.39 ERA in 162 innings (29 starts) in his first complete season, with a 1.38 WHIP and 147 strikeouts (8.17 K/9).

With 53.2 percent of his pitches in the strike zone, he had the highest strike zone percentage of any major league pitcher. In the National League Rookie of the Year voting, he came in sixth place.

In a 19-2 Rockies victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on July 11, 2018, Márquez blasted his first career home run off second baseman and former teammate Daniel Descalso.

Márquez became the first pitcher since Mike LaCoss in 1986 to hit a home run off a position player.
