With the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, Jerome Baker plays linebacker professionally. He is 102 kilograms and 1.88 meters tall. He played football for the 2014 State Championship winning Benedictine High School team. At that point, he was considered to be Ohio’s top 2015 recruit.
He initially committed to play collegiate football for the University of Florida, but he later decided to attend Ohio State. He participated in Ohio State Buckeyes football from 2015 to 2017. After his junior year of competition in 2017, he made the choice to forego his senior year and enter the 2018 NFL Draft.
Throughout his college career, he recorded 159 tackles, seven sacks, and two interceptions. The Miami Dolphins selected him in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In June 2018, he agreed to a four-year, $3.80 million deal with the Dolphins, which also featured a $975,200 signing bonus. In July 2020, the Dolphins added him to the reserve/COVID-19 list.
