Jorge Mario Alfaro Buelvas (born June 11, 1993) is a Colombian professional baseball catcher for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB).



Alfaro signed with the Texas Rangers as a free agent in 2010, and was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2015. He made his MLB debut in 2016, and has also played for the Miami Marlins.

Alfaro signed with the Texas Rangers in June 2010 as a 16-year-old free agent for a $1.3 million signing bonus that was a record at the time for any Colombian prospect. On November 30, 2021, the Marlins traded Alfaro to the San Diego Padres in exchange for cash or a player to be named later, turned out to be cash considerations.
