Josh Jones, also known as Joshua Jones, is an offensive tackle with the Arizona Cardinals in the National Football League. He stands 2.01 m tall and weighs 141 kg. He played football and basketball when a student at George Bush High School. As a sophomore, he was selected to the All-District 23-5A second team. As a junior and senior, he was selected to the first team.
He was classified as a three-star prospect right out of high school. Prior to National Signing Day, he announced his decision to attend the University of Houston. He had previously committed to play college football at Oklahoma State going into his senior year, but he had since changed his mind.
He participated in the Houston Cougars football team while attending Houston. His actual rookie year was spent redshirting. As a redshirt freshman, he started every one of the Cougars’ 13 games, and he did the same the season after, starting ten games while sitting out two due to a knee injury. As a junior redshirt, he once again started every game for Houston.
He started nine games as left tackle as a redshirt senior and was selected to the second team of the American Athletic Conference. Jones received a 2020 Senior Bowl invitation after the season ended. He was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the 72nd overall pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
