He was born on April 24, 1997, and raised in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Before switching to the professional game, he played baseball in his hometown and at school. He was taken by the Minnesota Twins in the seventh round of the 2015 MLB Draft. He inked a deal with them that year and debuted in the major league with the Gulf Coast Twins.
He missed the entire 2016 season due to an injury. When he came back in 2017, he was handed the Elizabethton Twins to play with.
