One of the professional football players, Kai Nacua, real name Kaimana Nacua, is a free safety for the National Football League’s New York Jets. Kai is 93 kg and 1.83 meters tall. He was born on March 3, 1995, to Lionel and Penina Nacua in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States.
Kai was a student at Henderson, Nevada’s Liberty High School. He attended Brigham Young University (BYU) after high school and played collegiate football for the BYU Cougars team. The Cleveland Browns acquired him as an undrafted free agent in May 2017.
They waived him on September 3, 2017 and was added to their practice squad the following day, then on September 8, 2017, they promoted him to the active roster. In April 2018, the Browns released Nacua. In May 2018, he was claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Ravens. In December 2018, he joined the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad. He and the Panthers reached an agreement on a reserve/future contract on December 31, 2018.
He was discharged in August of this year. Nacua was added to the San Francisco 49ers practice squad in November 2020 and moved up to the active roster on December 2. Nacua was released by the 49ers’ practice squad and was signed by the New York Jets in December 2021. On December 25, 2021, he received a promotion to the active roster.
