Keston Wee Hing Natsuo Hiura, a first baseman and second baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers in Major League Baseball, was born on August 2, 1996. (MLB).
Hiura went to Santa Clarita High School in Santa Clarita, California. Hiura was a member of the baseball squad in his high school. In his senior year, he hit.500 with 14 home runs and 30 RBIs to help the Vikings win the Foothill League.
Hiura was taken ninth overall in the first round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. He signed and was assigned to the Arizona Brewers of the Rookie-level Arizona League, where he batted.435 with four home runs, 18 RBIs, and a 1.339 OPS in 15 games.
He was later promoted to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers of the Class A Midwest League, where he batted.333 with 15 RBIs and seven walks in 27 games.
Hiura was regarded as Milwaukee’s top prospect by MLB.com heading into the 2018 season. He began the 2018 season with the Carolina Mudcats of the Carolina League’s Class A-Advanced division before being promoted to the Class A Advanced Carolina League.
