Luis Urías was born in Magdalena De Kino, Sonora, Mexico, on June 3, 1997. Luis Fernando Urias Figueroa is Luis Urias’ birth name. Ramón Urías, a Baltimore Orioles infielder, is his younger brother.
Luis Urías made his professional Major League Baseball debut for the San Diego Padres in 2018. In 48 at-bats, he hit.208/.264/.354 with two home runs.
Luis Urías has been selected to play in the 2017 World Baseball Classic for the Mexican national baseball team. In the same year, he was a member of the Class AA Texas League’s San Antonio Missions.
