Marquise Brown is an American football wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at College of the Canyons and Oklahoma and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Brown decided to sign with the College of the Canyons for the 2016 season after finding out that he would not receive any scholarships from Division 1 institutions.
Brown was forced to work at Six Flags Magic Mountain in order to make ends meet because California junior colleges do not provide funding for athletic scholarships.
After spending a year at College of the Canyons, Brown earned multiple scholarship offers from Division 1 schools and ultimately decided to attend Oklahoma.
Brown’s first year at Oklahoma, he participated in all thirteen games, starting eight of them, and finished with a team-high 1,095 receiving yards, moving him up to the eighth spot on the all-time receiving yards list for a single season.
Additionally, he broke the Oklahoma record for receiving yards in a single game with his 265 yard performance against Oklahoma State.
Brown made the announcement on January 2, 2019, that he would be entering the 2019 NFL Draft instead of returning to school for his senior year of eligibility.
