Matt Moore is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has played in MLB for the Tampa Bay Rays, San Francisco Giants, Detroit Tigers, and Philadelphia Phillies.
Moore was born at Fort Walton Beach, Florida, on June 18, 1989. Upon his father’s transfer to Okinawa’s Kadena Air Base, where he worked on helicopters for the Air Force Special Operations Command, his family was seven years old when they made the trip.
His older brother Bobby was starting high school in Edgewood in 2000, so Moore and the rest of his family relocated there.
