Born in Jamaica, Matt Peart plays offensive lineman for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He weighs 144 kg and stands 2.01 m tall. When he was a student at Governor’s Academy, he played offensive and defensive line for the football team, aiding the Governors in their four consecutive Independent School League victories.

When he finished from high school, he decided to play collegiate football for the University of Connecticut and was a two-star recruit. He took part in the University of Connecticut’s UConn Huskies football program. He redshirted his true freshman season at UConn.

During his redshirt senior season, he once again started all 12 of UConn’s games, much like he had done during his junior season. During his final season, he received a spot on the first team of the American Athletic Conference. With the 99th overall pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected Peart. He debuted in the NFL in Week 6 of his career. He had played in college before.

He suffered an ACL tear during the Week 16 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and as a result, he was placed on injured reserve in December 2020. Throughout the entire season, he participated in 15 games. To begin the season, he was added to the reserve/PUP list in August 2022.
