The cornerback and free agent Olaijah Griffin is an American who plays professional football. He is 79 kg heavy and 1.83 meters tall. He played football when a student at Mission Viejo High School. Following his high school graduation, he attended at the University of Southern California where he played collegiate football for the USC Trojans.
He participated in eight games during his freshman season. He made seven tackles, one of which was for a loss, before having two shoulder surgeries in the offseason. The first five days of Fall Camp saw him pick up five picks, but he came back to the football field with a vengeance.
Griffin became USC’s best cornerback in 2020, limiting opponents’ quarterbacks to a 38% completion rate. As a result, he was given an honorable mention on the All-Pac-12 team. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent following his failure to be taken in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was cut during the final roster cuts but then re-signed to the practice squad, where he played out the rest of the 2021 campaign.
On January 24, 2022, a two-year futures deal was signed with him. On August 14, 2022, he was released. He was picked up by the New York Giants off waivers on August 15, 2022. On August 29, 2022, he was released.
