The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Rams compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the National Football Conference (NFC) West division.

After the conclusion of the NFL season in 1994, the Los Angeles Rams relocated to St. Louis, Missouri, changing their name to the St. Louis Rams in the process. After another five years, the club went on to win Super Bowl XXXIV with a 23–16 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

After that, the team was defeated by the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI by a score of 20–17. Following the conclusion of the 2015 NFL season, the franchise requested and obtained permission from the league’s other owners to relocate to Los Angeles in time for the start of the 2016 NFL season. The Rams competed in Super Bowl LIII but were ultimately defeated by the Patriots by a score of 13–3.

After another three years, the Rams went on to win Super Bowl LVI with a 23–20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. With this victory, the Rams became only the second NFL team to do it in its home stadium.

The club is the first National Football League franchise to have won championships while playing for three different cities: St. Louis in 1999, Cleveland in 1945, and Los Angeles in 1951 and 2021.
