Otto Ariel Lopez is the true name of Canadian-Dominican professional baseball player Otto Lopez. In Major League Baseball, he plays infield for the Toronto Blue Jays. He is 73 kg and 1.78 meters tall.

On October 1, 1998, he was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In July 2016, the Toronto Blue Jays signed him as a free agent. With the Gulf Coast League’s Rookie Division Blue Jays, he played his first game in the Major League Baseball in 2017. He participated in the 2018 minor league campaigns of the Short Season-A Vancouver Canadians and the Rookie Advanced Bluefield Blue Jays.

Otto participated in 108 games for the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts in 2019 during his first full minor league baseball season. 20 stolen bases, 324 total bases, 50 RBI, and 5 home runs. He participated in 13 games for the Leones del Escogido of the Dominican Professional Baseball League during the offseason.

He didn’t play in any games in 2020 since the COVID-19 outbreak forced the suspension of the minor league season. He was added to the Jays’ 40-man roster in November 2020 in an effort to keep him out of the Rule 5 draft. In the off-season, he returned to the Leones. On August 17, 2021, when the Blue Jays played the Washington Nationals, he made his MLB debut.
