American pitcher Parker Allen Mushinski, who plays for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball, was born on November 22, 1995. (MLB). In 2022, he made his MLB debut.
In the Texas town of Argyle, Mushinski attended Argyle High School. In his senior year of 2014, Mushinski had a 2.10 ERA over 51 innings while striking out 98 batters.
Mushinski played college baseball for the Red Raiders for three seasons (2015–2017) at Texas Tech University after being undrafted out of high school.
In 37+2/3 innings, he had a 2.15 ERA, 47 strikeouts, and a 3-2 record as a junior. He signed with the Houston Astros after being selected by them in the seventh round of the 2017 MLB Draft.
Mushinski played for the Tri-City ValleyCats during his first full season of professional baseball in 2017, going 3-1 with a 3.60 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 30 innings.
He pitched 89 innings for the Quad Cities River Bandits in 2018, finishing 4-2 with a 2.33 ERA and 114 strikeouts. A combined 0-2 with a 4.35 ERA and 74 strikeouts over 62 innings for the GCL Astros, Fayetteville Woodpeckers, and Corpus Christi Hooks during the 2019 season.
Houston selected Mushinski’s contract and added him to the active roster on April 16, 2022.
