Sterling Shepard is an American football wide receiver for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma.
His first running touchdown in college came on a 13-yard run in the 2014 Sugar Bowl against Alabama.
The junior Shepard started 12 of 13 games that year. He got off to a blazing start this year, setting new personal bests in receiving yards against Tulsa (177) and TCU (215).
In the first seven games of the season, he had 49 receptions for 911 yards and five touchdowns. However, he suffered a groin injury on a reception against Iowa State, which forced him to miss the rest of that game and the following week’s game against Baylor.
In 2015, as a senior, he started every game and finished with 86 receptions for 1,288 yards and 11 touchdowns in 14 games.
