Tavon Wesley Austin plays wide receiver for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. He played NCAA football for West Virginia and was twice named an All-American. In Baltimore, Maryland, in the United States, on March 15, 1991, he was born.

He participated in track, basketball, and football at Dunbar High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He received a football scholarship from West Virginia University after high school, and he represented the Mountaineers from 2009 to 2012.

In the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Austin was chosen by the St. Louis Rams. A four-year, $12.751 million rookie deal was reached with Austin in June 2013. A $7.653 million signing bonus was also included in the agreement. Austin was traded to the Dallas Cowboys on April 28, 2018, along with a sixth-round draft pick. The San Francisco 49ers acquired Austin on August 15, 2020. On September 3, 2020, he was added to the injured reserve list. On October 27, after receiving a settlement for his injuries, he was taken off the injured reserve.

Austin agreed to a deal with the Green Bay Packers on December 1, 2020. On August 6, 2021, Austin made a commitment to the Jacksonville Jaguars. On September 2, 2021, he went on injured reserve. On September 30, he started acting. On June 2, 2022, Austin agreed to a deal with the Buffalo Bills.
