Who Is The Closer For The Detroit Tigers?

Gregory Soto is the Closer for the Detroit Tigers.

Once again, the Vulture Save Watch comes to the rescue. Because Gregory Soto needed a break after pitching in three of the four games, Michael Fulmer was given the difficult save opportunity.

Fulmer earned his first save of the season by pitching a perfect ninth. Joe Jimenez threw a perfect eighth inning and has yet to allow a run this season.

Soto is expected to return for the rest of the weekend series, but the whole Detroit bullpen is currently on a tear.

This should mean more saving opportunities for… who?
We had to believe manager AJ Hinch when he declared Gregory Soto was his closer in October, even if he was being a little tricky. To begin 2022, Michael Fulmer and Jose Cisnero complete the hierarchy.
AJ Hinch, the manager of the Detroit Tigers, refused to label left-handed reliever Gregory Soto as the closer.
Not until after the 2021 season, at the earliest.
Soto was officially named the Tigers’ closer by Hinch in early October.
Soto said Wednesday, with Tigers bilingual media coordinator Carlos Guillen interpreting, “It feels quite nice.” “But I needed to forget about it.
I don’t want that distraction to distract me. I’ve got to keep as concentrated as possible, so I’ve got to think about other things.”
